I was experimenting again with some timelapse video and took some cool shots of the sun behind some clouds (again from my office window). Once again, I forgot to turn off the autofocus and ever time the sun came out from behind the clouds the camera focused on the (dirty) window instead which, whilst giving some atristic and impressionistic images, tended to spoil the overall timelapse effect.
Eventually I cut the out-of-focus bits out but after my earlier test video of iMovie effects, I decided to render the clip with the X-Ray effect and that really brought the sun and cloud effects out so that it looked (almost!) like I was filming an interstellar black hole rather than the sun. I really should start thinking about making that Sci-Fi movie that I mentioned in a previous post!
